Dog running service in Hollywood, Aventura FL

Why should my dog go running instead of walking?
While walking is great, it is not enough exercise for most breeds. Some dogs need at least 30-45 minutes per day of exercise. And exercise means moving around and getting the heart beating! Dogs can really benefit from this. Not only can running make them healthier, but it makes them happier too!

How long is the dog run? What is included?
Dog Running Service has several packages, 30 min., and 45 min. of dog running service and a 2 hour outing to the beach or dog park. We always include a warm-up walk and a cool down walk. We will come to your house and pick up your dog, and drop him/her back off at the end of the run. For more details, please see our Services and Pricing section.

Do you offer an introductory visit?
Yes, we offer an introductory visit. During this visit we will get a chance to meet you and your dog, and get your dog’s health history, evaluate your dog’s fitness needs, and gain a better understanding of your goals for using this service.

Do you also do pet sitting and daily dog walking?
Yes, we offer daily dog walking and vacation pet sitting in your home or in our home. Please visit our pet sitting website: www.dogsgowalking.com and our private dog boarding in our home website at www.cagelessboarding.com

What about the summer heat?
We watch your dog carefully for any signs of dehydration, overheating, and fatigue. If we observe any signs of struggling or tiring behavior the work out is ended immediately and an appropriate entry is made in the daily progress report. We also try to avoid scheduling visits in the middle of the day. Our prefered running times are mornings or evenings.

How will I know if my dog is showing progress in his running?

We have a log for each dog that we run. We notate run dates, times-including warm up, cool down. We notate your dog’s behavior and any socializing that may have occurred while your dog is in our care.

I’ve heard that pet sitters should be bonded, insured, and licensed. What does that mean to me and my pets?
Bonding, insuring, and licensing are all steps we take for your safety and security. All Dog Running Service runners are bonded, insured, and licensed, and can provide you with their documentation.

What information will I need during the introductory visit with my dog runner?

Your pet sitter/dog runner will arrive with a Dog Running Service packet. The packet will contain a service agreement, proof of bonding and insurance, a daily visit sheet and a business card for your purse or wallet. You and your new dog runner will fill out the service agreement together. Information and items that you should have readily available are as follows:
